Dr. George Otieno Graduates from Stanford GFIT Program, Strengthens Teaching Excellence
March 2025 – Dr. George Otieno successfully completed the Global Faculty Innovation & Technology (GFIT) Program at Stanford University, bringing world-class expertise back to the East African Biodesign Fellowship. His graduation marks a significant enhancement to the program’s teaching capacity and establishes a direct knowledge transfer pipeline from Stanford’s renowned innovation ecosystem to East Africa.
Following his graduation, Dr. Otieno has been integrated into the East African Biodesign Fellowship teaching team, where his newly acquired expertise will directly benefit current and future cohorts. This strategic addition to the faculty ensures that fellows receive instruction grounded in the latest global best practices while maintaining focus on locally-relevant healthcare challenges.
