EAST AFRICA BIODESIGN FELLOWSHIP
The East Africa Biodesign Fellowship is a cutting-edge initiative at the Kenyatta University, in collaboration with the Stanford Byers Center for Biodesign and The University of Global Health Equity
The fellowship is dedicated to promoting need-driven innovations based on a genuine understanding of the unmet healthcare needs in the East African region through the Biodesign process. Over the course of 10 months, our multidisciplinary team of fellows will participate in a transformative project-based learning experience that includes classroom instruction, hands-on practice, and mentorship from ecosystem experts. They will learn to identify unmet clinical needs, carry out rigorous validation research, and utilize this comprehensive understanding to ideate, prototype, and implement innovative solutions that advance equitable healthcare delivery.
