An intensive 10-month programme that trains innovators to identify, invent, and implement solutions to real clinical needs.
The East Africa Biodesign Fellowship is delivered in partnership with:
Stanford Biodesign
University of Global Health Equity
University of Rwanda
Fellows follow the biodesign methodology from end to end — grounded in real clinical settings and carried through to a working, field-tested solution:
1
Identify
Fellows spend time embedded in clinical environments, observing real workflows to uncover and validate genuine, unmet clinical needs.
2
Invent
Needs are translated into concepts, then prototyped and refined using the Accelerator's facilities and design methodology.
3
Implement
Fellows plan the path to real-world adoption — from regulatory and business considerations to a strategy for reaching the patients who need it.
Trained to solve real clinical problems, end to end.
