Intensive Bootcamp Strengthens Cross-Border Collaboration in Medical Innovation
January 2025. Following the successful launch orientation, the East Africa Biodesign Fellowship entered its first intensive bootcamp phase, demonstrating the programme’s commitment to collaborative innovation across national boundaries. The bootcamp strategically positioned both teams in their respective countries, Kenya and Rwanda, while maintaining cohesion through combined virtual sessions.
This hybrid approach exemplifies the fellowship’s innovative methodology, allowing fellows to leverage local expertise and resources while maintaining the collaborative spirit essential to the biodesign process. The bootcamp focused on establishing robust research methodologies and fostering the interdisciplinary teamwork crucial for addressing complex healthcare challenges.
